A SOLOMON ISLANDS STONE NET WEIGHT

A carved stone fishing net weight in the shape of "Barava", shell money from western Solomon Islands. Net weights are used in conjunction of a fishing lure or hook to increase its rate of sink, anchoring ability, and/or casting distance.
