Marian Bijlinga guest at Tribal Design
From the 25th of September Tribal Design will show works of Dutch artist Marian Bijlinga in combination with recent tribal acquisitions. Marian Bijlenga’s work has exhibited and received awards at venues worldwide. Rather than drawing on paper, Bijlenga draws in space, using textile as a material. She works with thread, fabric and horsehair, fishscales and parchment, flexible materials that lend themselves to endless development. You can find artworks of Bijlinga among others at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam and Museum of Art & Design, New York, USA.

Tribal Art Fair Amsterdam 2026
The annual Tribal Art Fair in Amsterdam will take place again this year from Thursday 29 October till Sunday 1 November. As usual, the friendly location of the church building ‘De Duif’ on Prinsengracht will be the epicentre of tribal art in Amsterdam. Over twenty dealers in tribal art from the Netherlands, Belgium, Hungary, France, The UK, Austria and Thailand wil show their finest pieces. Also, each day, there will be a special programme for visitors, featuring lectures and films. The Tribal Art Fair is popular by collectors and dealers looking for high-end pieces as well as affordable additions to their collections. You can find objects from Oceania, Africa, Indonesia, Tibet and The Philippines, including jewellery, sculptures, textiles, masks, and varied utensils.
As every year, Tribal Design will participate, showing many new objects. An event not to be missed by the serious collector!

Summer Time
During summer months Tribal Design will be open showing a fascinating selection of Tribal objects from Oceania, Africa and Indonesia and works of contemporary French artist Coco Fronsac, Spanish artist Setxu Xirau Roïg and Dutch artist Pjotr Müller.
