AN OLD AND FINE YAM MASK

This rare hand held Yam Mask from the Abelam People of Papua New Guinea is carved from light and soft Balsa wood. This is a nice piece with beautiful traces of use and old patina in front of the head. This unique carving will make a really nice addition to a collection of Abelam and Oceanic art.
